Although it took several weeks to put up the formwork for the concrete, it was a much faster task to take it down! In a matter of a few hours the site looked as shown below! It will take a bit longer to get everything cleaned up, with the nails removed from most, if not all, the pieces of wood scattered about. Some of the wood can be re-used, but shorter pieces are destined for firewood.
With the formwork gone, the concrete foundation is seen.

The formwork for the fireplace has not been removed. This structure includes a horizontal platform.
