The move to the Island was completed before the end of June. There were several interruptions to the move toward the end though. Stephen left Vancouver for 10 days of meetings in the US the last week of June. However, with Marja still recovering from her broken arm after meeting the truck on her bicycle, and with no public transport, she had little choice but to stay with her father-in-law for a few days. Both Marja and Stephen then met in Halifax together with their friends, the Roberts. After a restful 10 days in Halifax they returned, and then did move to the Island. All the photos on this group of pages were taken on July 8.
The couch has arrived on the Island, but appears not to have yet
reached its destination.

Besides moving things into the house, they are also trying to paint the floor as well as a large number of other activities, making the transition from an apartment in town to a house on an island quite a challenge. As you will soon see the living room and dining rooms are currently almost devoid of furniture. Hence all the furniture currently destined for these areas is elsewhere. You will note that through the use of available cabinets on the Island they have got quite a lot of storage space in the kitchen.
The north side of the kitchen.
The kitchen counter does have some variation as to what lives on it! It easy to see there is much to be done.
The living room has been cleared to allow the floor to be painted.
Well much of the living room was cleared! This photo is from the dining room looking south west.
Once again, space currently does not allow everything to be tidied.
The bathroom needs a little more work yet! The larger hole is for the water flow control.
The large number of tools on the bathroom floor indicates "work-in-progress".
